E Staple (E) ALU - different lengths

The staples of type 90 are suitable for a wide range of tasks due to their width of 5.5 mm and the many variations in lengths, ranging from 10 to 40 mm. Due to the relatively thick wire size of 1 by 1.25 mm, you cannot use them for many fastenings. If you want to fasten something and you do not know which staple length you need, for most materials you can follow the rule of thumb that the staple should be 2 ½ times the leg length of the thickness of the material. In practice, this means that if you want to secure a wooden board or sheet material that is 10 mm thick, you should have a minimum staple length of 2 ½ x 10, which is 25 mm long.
